Drinkable yogurt = fun times for kids. He LOVES them!
This lamb character is EVERYWHERE--definitely the most popular cartoon here. The ride costs about 15cents and lasts about 5 minutes...about 4 minutes too long with its loud, annoying music. :)
Girl time! Women of the team except Lynne on back, left. She's Mrs. President of our company and came just to have girl time! In the middle of the table is what we thought was chocolate fondue. Unfortunately, it was some sort of strawberry and kiwi jelly. There was fruit to dip into it; I steered clear. There was also 3 flavors of "ice cream". Flavors still unknown..haha
Last week, Michael finally taught an entire week of classes. No more breaks. No more holidays til the end of the semester--the end of January. Could be a long haul! But, he's enjoying it and his students are surprising him with the high level of English abilities they have. I'm anxious to meet some of them. We have some events coming up where I'll actually get to talk to some of them. WOO! This has been a long time waiting. (Remember, most other teachers in other cities with our company have been teaching and meeting with students for a month now. Our school is just starting super late.)
Meals conquered this week: chicken fried steak, stew (with a cheater packet from the States), chicken alfredo (another cheater packet...I know, gross usually..but so good here!). I'm building a list! :)

So. Food-wise I think I have it better in Hong Kong when it comes to availability. However! Everyone here eats out for nearly every meal. I miss cooking at home. My husband has been doing some cooking, but he also works late to get projects ready for the states when he leaves. With no oven, it's a little difficult too. I didn't really bake a lot back home, but it's all I want to do now. Funny how that works - the whole absence makes your heart grow fonder... in my case it just happens to be an oven!
ReplyDeleteI, for one, love your blog. You are saved as a favorite and every time the star comes up saying you have a new post - I'm here!
Love your blog girl! I check it regularly and I'm really enjoying seeing what you're up to. The drinkable yogurt, though a little odd, sounds like something my little ones would like. Glad teaching has begun, and that you get to meet some students soon. I know that is going to be exciting! We will be praying for you and Mike!

ReplyDeleteAshley,
ReplyDeleteYou must laugh each day at how different your life is now! Wow. Well, to answer your question a blog book is simply your blog compiled into a hardback, bound book. I use a site called blog2print. Each September I print the entire year's worth of blogs and pictures so that I have it as a keepsake!
Josiah is getting big! Glad I can keep up with you guys.

Ashley, I'm a blog stalker..I love the pics..glad you and Micheal had a nice date. We're ditching our blog..the pics take too long. I'm doing a shutterfly blog that has a password. Family and friends can order our pics from the blog at a great quality so it works out good for family..it's VERY fast as well so I can put up even more pics. But you..keep on Blogging!
